Untitled

Maybe I was too eager to shake hand,
Nurture the relation which s/he couldn't stand,
A friendship that "we" never cheered,
A bond that "we" never shared.

I opened up and goofed around,
Let my soppy and vulnerable side be found,
Shared my misery, rapture and joy,
I was an open book while s/he was coy.

I let out my emotions loud and clear,
Shared my secrets with no fear,
Never lied or held any grudge,
Never disguised for any cause.

I always thought s/he was my friend,
This "friendship", I thought I had gained,
Kept sharing my emotions; happy or sad,
To a friend that I never had,
To a friend that I never had.
